That’s right. They ATTRACT!

 That is called the Law of Attraction. Like poles repel while unlike poles attract.

Either the north or south pole can attract metal objects, such as paper clips or pins. Steel, iron and certain other metals attract magnets. Magnets do not pick
up wood, plastic, glass or rubber.
