I recently completed my PhD in information science at the Univeristy at Albany, State University of New York with a focus on computing technology in learning.

I completed my Masters degree in 2003 at the University of Hawaii, Department of Information and Computer Science. My thesis (available as a 3.5MB download in PDF format) focused on the NSF-funded Rural Systemic Initiative (RSI) I worked with while there, the Hawaii Networked Learning Communities.

I returned to upstate New York in December, 2003 and am currently building a teaching practice in computer science in the Albany-Schenectady-Saratoga Springs-Glens Falls area. Recent or current teaching experience include:

I also have been working with the Association for the Cooperative Advancement of Science and Education, a not-for-profit education think-tank located in Saratoga Springs, New York, to develop the next generation of assessments of student learning.
