How is electricity made?

Everything in the world is made up of tiny particles called atoms. Inside every atom are three different parts. There is a negative charge from the electron, a positive charge called the proton, and a neutral charge called the neutron. The number of protons and electrons determines the overall charge of an item. If there are more positive charges, the item is positive. If there are more negative charges, the item is negative. Only electrons can move from item to item.  When electrons get temporarily taken away from an atom, electricity happens. 

Therefore, electricity is a form of energy produced by
the movement of electrons.
